The 13th annual Soberfest Ohio is a way for families to spend a fun drug and alcohol-free day, filled with fellowship for newcomers, people in recovery and allies. The event shows people you can enjoy loud live music while sober in a safe, judgment-free environment. Soberfest is organized by a committee of volunteers who belong to the recovery community. It creates an opportunity for anyone willing to be of service and volunteer to help plan the event or help on the day of. Soberfest Ohio consists of live music, speakers, food trucks and a Kidzone with games and activities suitable for the whole family. There are an abundance of resource partners to help link attendees to critical services within the community.
Soberfest Ohio was an idea born at a time of absolute despair. One of our founders was sitting in a treatment center, lamenting the life he thought he would have to leave behind. The parties, the concerts, the fun would leave his life too. In the midst of working to recover, he came up with the idea, Soberfest Ohio, a one-day celebration of all the things he loved absent the things he no longer needed – drugs and alcohol.
